After a weather postponement for the original CATT Tidewater season opener, we finally got the season underway on the Pasquotank River this morning. Anglers were greeted with a beautiful sunrise and sunny skies. But in typical March fashion the wind had other plans on the Tank and the wind blew and blew and then blew a little more. This tournament would have been appropriately named the “Battle of the breeze”. As always, some guys put it in the wind and headed across the sound while other played it safe saving equipment and their backs.

Stacy Light and Matt Greschak proved that staying close to maximize fishing time was a winning decision. They brought in a very impressive bag weighing 25.72 lbs anchored by a 7.5 and 8.25 lb kickers!!! That limit earned them a $2400 payday.

Jobie Walker and Chris Napier had a good day on the River bringing in a 21.84 lbs that included the tournament lunker a 8.62lb Tank! Second place and lunker were good for $1255.
