Next Tidewater Qualifier is April 19th on the Chowan River!

45 boats took off out of Shoups landing on the Chowan River this morning knowing full well choices were gonna be limited due to the forecasted winds. The fishing appeared to be a case of the have and have nots. Some teams reported catching a lot of fish and culling all day while other teams found the bite to be tougher than what were used to seeing the river.

A couple teams that definitely had them brought impressive bags to the scales led by the team of Kevin and Tyler Jones with a 20.94 bag that included a couple of 5lbers. That bag earned them a $2,425.00 payday.

Another team that had them was the team of JA Williford and Mike Layton with 19.48lbs anchored by the days big fish weighing 6.47 lbs. Todays work earned them a couple checks totaling $1275.

Travis Badgett fished solo today and got it done alone bringing 17.18 lbs to the scales. That solo performance made him $525.
